WLW ~ I'm Still Here

I haven't posted in a while, but I really am still here and trying to lose weight!  I'm always happy when I can join in for Weight Loss Wednesdays with my sweet friend Alicia.  I'll give you quick updates for the past few weeks.

4 weeks ago ~ After my feasting during my birthday week, I gained 1 lb - no surprise!  I didn't exercise much that week either.

3 weeks ago ~ More eating unfortunately and still not much exercise and guess what - gained 1 more lb.  Ugh!

2 weeks ago ~ Even though my Dad visited and we ate out a lot, we were fairly active and I maintained - no gain, no loss.  Better than gaining!

1 week ago ~ Didn't track my eating and only got in a couple of Zumba classes.  I maintained again - no gain, no loss.

This week ~  I really didn't do anything different and could only make it to 1 Zumba class.  I did skip dessert a couple of times and snacked less in the evenings.  Surprisingly I lost .5 lb!  Well it's something in the right direction anyway.

Obviously I'm not working very hard at this and I need to get back on track.  I need more exercise and I need to do something about food.  I can't seem to get motivated.  I'm thinking about what I want to do over these next few days to get back on track.  I definitely need to drink more water and stop snacking in the evenings.

I'm not giving up though - I keep trying!  How are you doing with your weight loss and exercise goals?

I love that Alicia reminded me that we can do all things through Christ.  Stop by her place and get some encouragement - it's good to have the support of friends through this struggle!

Have a healthy day!
Lisa  :)

  1. You know what? I finally had to tell my family no more unhealthy snacks (meaning chips) and dessert only once a week. Because if it's there I eat it. My husband was all for it because he wants me to feel good and it wouldn't hurt him either not having the extra junk around. So I suggest you sit down with the family and explain things because if you're like me you can't make it for them and then not eat it.Just tell them that it's temporary until you get down to the weight you want to be. Just a thought.
    Love you my friend.

  4. Oh Sister I'm in the same boat! I haven't been trying and haven't lost weight in weeks (other than a pound that I easily gain back with water retention). Last night I had 3 pieces of pizza! Does that sound like someone wanting to lose weight? Scream.

I also haven't exercised. I can't remember the last time I took time for myself to do it.

    And ... I LOVE CHOCOLATE.

  5. You know I just moved and I have to admit I am in the same boat. Today was day one of the CLēN Eating Soulution sugar detox and boy did I need it. I also did some strength training this morning, and I bet I'm going to feel it tomorrow...lol... You know the best thing for me it to have an accountability partner. Also it helps to log my workouts and to have my meals pre-planned. At 43, this metabolism doesn't take much to put on the weight loss breaks. But I did not just lose 40 pounds to put it right back on. Keep telling yourself the same. And keep blogging because you are motivation to so many!
